How carers can get financial help to attend Recharge Retreats

  1. Contact your local Council and request a Carers Assessment 
  2. After your needs are assessed if you qualify for help towards some respite you may be awarded a flexible fund of upto £300*.
  3. Flexible Fund payment are accepted by Recharge Retreats.

Family Fund

Family Fund for families raising disabled or seriously ill children. You can apply for a grant to help with the costs towards your retreat.

Respite Association

Get financial help to pay for care and assistance your loved one so you can have a break.

The Talisman Charitable Trust

In writing to the charity through a social worker, Citizens Advice or similar third party.

Applications should be on headed paper and include the individual’s full name and address, a summary of their financial circumstances, what is needed and how much it will cost. A brief history of the case and a list of any other charities approached should be included as well. Supporting evidence such as medical documentation, a letter from the applicant’s school and written quotations would also be helpful. Applications are considered throughout the year. Only successful applications will receive a reply.
